The "Le Pin" chest reveals an abundant plant world, where engraved imprints evoke coniferous forests and stylized berries. These details, enhanced by superimposed glazes, catch the light and create a texture that is both complex and organic. Each step, from engraving to reductive firing, bears witness to meticulous attention to detail: wax reserves allow the enamels to be juxtaposed as in a cloisonné painting. The central yet discreet cabochon, in relief, adds a tactile dimension that invites us to approach, to open the chest, in a subtle tension where the secret, almost unveiled, seems within reach. The artist's signature on the side and underneath confirms the uniqueness of this piece.

Jean-Claude Canonne's chests evoke a world where ceramics meet memory and intimacy. Each piece, designed with great technical mastery, is conceived as a precious shelter, ready to house secrets, objets d'art or timeless souvenirs. Inspired by the shapes of sacred shrines, these chests symbolize the link between earth and sky, incarnation and elevation. Each tells a story, magnified by complex processes and a rich palette of textures and colors.
