The "L'esprit du voyage" boat is distinguished by its finely sculpted bow, adorned with organic motifs and bright red accents, and by its "canopy" at the stern, evoking a protective, sandy shelter. This canopy seems to symbolize a discreet protection for the treasures of the voyage, accentuating the contrast between its raw appearance and its narrative richness. Vivid colors and raised textures give this piece an almost mythological dimension, where every detail vibrates with energy and history. This boat pays homage to the audacity of travelers, bearers of dreams and promises.

Jean-Claude Canonne's glazed stoneware boats, part of a series in which the symbolism of travel and memory predominates, illustrate the encounter between technical mastery and visual poetry. Each creation, while sharing a common language in its structure and details, expresses a singular vision, inspired by a variety of maritime cultures. The richly textured enameling and sculpted elements reveal a universe that is both mineral and organic, paying homage to time, water and human stories.

These boats, each unique in its expression, dialogue around the universal themes of time, memory and displacement. They testify to Jean-Claude Canonne's ability to transcend material to tell stories in which land, water and humanity intertwine.
