Table 3 "Trees in Savoillan": Calligraphic memory of a landscape at the foot of Mont Ventoux

This work in enameled stoneware is a poetic evocation of a landscape dear to Jean-Claude Canonne, inspired by a memory of the Provencal lands near Mont Ventoux. The silhouettes of the trees, similar to calligraphy strokes, immortalize a suspended moment.
Jean-Claude Canonne, with his mastery of enamel superimpositions and wax reserves, plunges us into a soft, dreamlike palette. Touches of orange shino evoke foliage bathed in light and reveal the striking contrasts of Provence's landscapes.
This work invites us to dream and escape, recalling familiar landscapes transformed by the artist's imagination. And it bears witness to his career and his attachment to nature, sublimated by his art.
